Nothing makes a band's credibility take a nosedive faster than an unpopular politician publicly championing your music.
Prime Minister David Cameron has made an exceptional effort to get all "down with the youth", referencing groovy hitmakers such as Alt-J and Florence + the Machine as being amongst his faves. Indeed, he was also spotted at the "eclectic and eccentric" (bleurgh) Cornbury Music Festival in July. Barefoot, regrettably.
They say there's no such thing as bad publicity, but we fear this may just be the exception to the rule. We take a look at the unlucky bands and artists who Dave has praised - and who didn't take the news well.
