Nothing makes a band's credibility take a nosedive faster than an unpopular politician publicly championing your music.
Prime Minister David Cameron has made an exceptional effort to get all "down with the youth", referencing groovy hitmakers such as Alt-J and Florence + the Machine as being amongst his faves. Indeed, he was also spotted at the "eclectic and eccentric" (bleurgh) Cornbury Music Festival in July. Barefoot, regrettably.
