Joel Compass (supporting J Cole, Dec 1, Hammersmith Eventim Apollo): With his epic single 'Run' already being played several a day on Radio 1, it's a good idea to catch the singer/producer supporting US rapper J Cole now before he's selling out venues alone with his irresistible brand of futuristic R&B.
Banks (supporting The Weeknd, Nov 26, O2 Arena): We've had LA singer Banks' excellent debut EP London on repeat since its release. Particular highlights include the haunting, grinding 'This Is What It Feels Like' and melancholy sexy (weird, we know) 'Bedroom Wall'. She's the perfect opener for The Weeknd.
Sophie (supporting Little Boots, Nov 28th, Heaven): Not much is known about enigmatic electronic producer Sophie, who has exploded onto the scene with his massive, bonkers track 'Elle', which has been dropped into any DJ set that matters this summer. We think we'll be hearing a lot more from this mysterious musician in 2014.
That Fucking Tank (supporting Foals, February, Dublin Olympia, Manchester Apollo, Glasgow Barrowlands, Birmingham O2 Academy, Newcastle O2 Academy, London Alexandra Palace): This instrumental rock duo, whose last album was described as 'brutal but intricate' by one reviewer, are famed for their energetic, high octane performances, which is probably why Yannis and co wanted them on their tour.
Fryars (supporting Summer Camp, Nov 27, Heaven): Fryars, AKA Ben Garrett, has been making waves with his catchy electro track 'Cool Like Me', which received even more attention for its Mike Skinner assisted remix. Expect to see him play tracks from his recently released Radio PWR EP.
The Weeknd (supporting Drake, March, O2 Arena): Considering his support acts for the US leg of his Would You Like A Tour? shows haven't exactly been dazzling, Drake has really pulled it out of the bag for his UK dates, spoiling us with The Weeknd, who's already a massive star in his own right. His debut album, Kiss Land, will sound stunning live.
Grouplove (supporting Imagine Dragons, Nov 25, O2 Academy Brixton): US indie electronic five piece Grouplove boast a back catalogue packed full of anthemic, catchy tracks, including 'Tongue Tied', which featured in every advert ever made in 2013, including spots for iTunes, Chevrolet and er, Glee.
Tame Impala (supporting Arctic Monkeys, May 23 and 24, Finsbury Park): Psychedelic Aussie rockers Tame Impala have been winning plaudits for their dazzling second album Lonerism, which includes the massive single 'Elephant'. They'll start Arctic Monkey's massive Finsbury Park shows off right.
All Saints (supporting Backstreet Boys on 2014 UK tour): Arguably the best British girlband of the 90s, their reunion far overshadows to the idea of the Backstreet Boys hitting the road once again.
