Q-Tip has revealed that he will be producing Kanye West's new album along with Rick Rubin.
In an interview on Jay Z's Life And Times blog, the hip hop recording artist said "I'm producing Kanye's new album with Rick Rubin... That's coming up."
Former Tribe Called Quest member Q-Tip, previously contributed to West's 2010 album 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy', has worked with Mariah Carey, Beyonce, and John Legend to name a few.
Rick Rubin, founder of Def Jam Records, executively produced West's 2012 album Yeezus. West has denied rumours that the new album will be a sequel to Yeezus.
Plans for the album, which will be West's eighth, were revealed in November. "I haven't named my next album but I have started on it," he said, "I'd like to put out more product." West also admitted that he would like to have the album out by next summer.
Music isn't his only focus though, with a new clothing line scheduled to be released in September 2014. The modest rapper described the line as "Ralph Lauren meets Steve Jobs meets Walt Disney meets David Stern meets every visionary through our culture."
