The Pizza Underground: It may have warranted a slight titter when we first heard Macaulay Culkin was in a pizza themed Velvet Underground tribute band. Now we've read about them, heard them, seen the video and the results more unnervingly resemble what the inside of Culkin's brain may look like - a pizza themed cheese nightmare.
Tenacious D: The epic rock band pastiche has been done to death and to be honest Spinal Tap should have been the be-all and end-all of the whole genre. However Tenacious D have now released three unfunny albums and one incredibly unfunny film to boot. Give it a listen if you want to hear Jack Black talking about cock push ups and gentle sex. Not for us thanks.
The Bloodhound Gang: The sad thing is there is a good band in there somewhere, when they aren't being juvenile middle aged men they can knock out a good rock ballad like 'Along Came Mary'. Instead they have become the musical equivalent of a teenagers crusty wank sock, hanging around with porn stars, getting their willies out and defacing Russian flags. Go home boys.
The Lonely Island: This juvenile yank humor really is excruciating, using base level writing to bring celebrity names down from their pedestals with skits that have the same vibe as unwanted canned laughter in a sitcom. 'Dick In A Box'? 'On A Boat'? 'Jizz In My Pants'? Truly unfunny.
The Darkness: Yet another in a long line of rock pastiche bands The Darkness have a huge identity issue, being relegated quickly into being a novelty act thanks to the falsetto vocals, excessive guitar licks and penchant for glam rock. However there is a literal darkness to them underneath as the band has been torn apart by drugs, feuds and huge amounts of anxiety. Hilarious.
Ylvis: What does the fox say? Well if you live in London we have a massive fox problem and we can tell you that they don't sound like a poor rip off of the crazy frog, rather they sound like someone getting murdered with a rusty knife. Lets hope this one is left in the 2013 history books.
Psy: The precursor to Ylvis and one of the biggest viral hits in recent memory, Psy took pop annoyance to a whole new level as 'Gangnam Style' infiltrated clubs and bars across the globe. It'll haunt your dreams forever, all a Korean plan to irritate the Western world into submission.
