What happened to previous years' BBC Sound of... winners
They can't get it right every year...
- 2003: 50 Cent. A good start. "Fiddy" released his debut album the same year, which has gone on to sell 1.5 million copies. Since then, he's had 3 more more successful albums. He's also grown fairly notorious for his feuds, including telling Rick Ross "Imma fuck your life up for fun."

Every year, hundreds of bands are tipped to be "the next big thing" by music critics. Few of these are taken as seriously, however, as the BBC's Sound of... list since its creation in 2003.
Some of the winners have gone on to very successful careers - 50 Cent, Jessie J, Ellie Goulding... In fact, some of them are even Adele. Well, one of them is Adele.
There are a few though whose fiery hype was extinguished as quickly as it was ignited, and whose names these days illicit little more than a "Oh yeah, the one with that song... It went kind of like... No I don't know."
