Prince has announced plans to perform a number of live shows in London, 2014 - with dates to be announced shortly.
The star will visit the UK for a number of live shows at 'iconic venues in and around London', according to a statement from the star's UK representative. Dates and locations are yet to be announced. The tour is titled Hit And Run.
The UK visit is to mark the release of his new album PlectrumElectrum, his first release will all-female rock trio, 3rdEyeGirl.
The star will first make an unusual appearance before his live shows however, hosting a press conference from the front room of UK singer/songwriter, Lianne LaHavas. The two have previously worked together, and LaHavas offered her London flat as a location for a press announcement as a joke on hearing of his London visit. Prince took her up on the offer.
Prince had been heavily rumoured to perform at Glastonbury 2014, but a US spokesperson for the music legend told Gigwise that he had absolutely not agreed to perform at the event.
