The 5 worst, most embarrassing moments of the BRIT Awards 2014

What was Nicole Scherzinger on about?

1. Nicole Scherzinger's bizarre banter: Wow, what? Whoever chose footballer Cesc Fabregas, who clearly had no idea where the fuck he was, and a deranged Nicole Scherzinger to present an award together should be fired immediately. We're genuinely rather worried for Nicole, who genuinely gave off the overall air of a lunatic throughout her time onstage. Weird.

3. James Corden and Nick Grimshaw's kiss: Don't get us wrong, we're all for people snogging who the fuck they want to, regardless of gender. But we really enjoy watching James Corden and Nick Grimshaw squish their large, annoying faces together as if they were about to merge into one, large terrible beast.

4. When Lorde mentioned a corporate hashtag at the end of her speech: We love Lorde. She's bloody great. But when she mentioned MasterCard's unrelenting Brits hashtag #pricelesssurprises at the end of her acceptance speech for International Female Solo Artist ["this truly was a priceless surprise"] we had to rewind ITV [thank fuck for #SkyPlus].

5. Jimmy Carr: Wow, making jokes about drugs at the Brit Awards? GROUNDBREAKING. Yep, Jimmy Carr's appearance was one giant tumbleweed as every "joke" he made went down like a lead balloon. Just awful.

5. Lily Allen's award presenting skills. No Lily, the 'where am I, what do I' thing won't work with us. You've been to award ceremonies before and you know how it works. She almost ruined things when presenting the Best British Group award, which actually might have been pretty cool...
