Photos show original placement of suicide note

Twenty years after his suicide in 1994, police have released previously undeveloped photos of Kurt Cobain's death scene. The case was recently reviewed in an effort to quash rumours that the Nirvana frontman was murdered, and police consequently discovered four rolls of film. The photos show for the first time the placement of Cobain's suicide note, which was on top of a greenhouse planter with a red pen pierced through the middle.
Other pictures released include Cobain's driving license, a box of heroin paraphernalia, and the interior and exterior of the building in which his body was found. Cobain was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in 1994, but the event has been persistently surrounded by murder rumours and conspiracy theories. The case remains closed.
