Zhi-Yun Zhang's 'rappers as cartoon characters' artwork is v.cool indeed

German graphic designer Zhi-Yun Zhang has brought some mild amusement to our week with his brilliant collection of rappers as cartoon characters. See some of his best illustrations here.

The images, which have been shared widely online are spot on in pairing some very intense musicians with some less than serious stars, with our particular favourites being A$ap Rocky as Stewie Griffin, Drake as Millhouse from The Simpsons and Kanye West as Porky Pig.

Speaking of his latest work, Zhang says: "Nowadays in every entertaining industry there are features and collaborations. I wanted to bring two sectors together. So I mixed up the style of famous cartoon shows with some of today’s musicians. I try to match the right counterparts and be close as possible."
