Radiohead: Many have noticed that this year's Glastonbury poster bares a striking resemblance to Radiohead's booklet artwork for Kid A and to a promotional poster for the King Of Limbs. It could just be because they were all designed by Stanley Donwood and a happy coincidence, or it could be a pretty strong hint. The band are no strangers to the festival, haven't headlined since 2003 and have admitted that they're reconvening to discuss the future this summer, so who knows?
Metallica: They've said they want to play, the bookies (and some industry insiders) have them pegged as a favourite and the 'contractual' issues that Emily Eavis mentioned could well be related to them being named as an exclusive for this year's Sonisphere. All signs point to Metallica - could Glasto break convention and indulge in a little moshing?
Prince: Always a bookies' favourite, and word on the street is that he and the Eavises struck a deal while he was in London. Could they be biding their time to drop a big purple surprise on us all?
Fleetwood Mac: Initially ruled out of the running by Eavis this year after John McVie was diagnosed with cancer, but now they've announced a massive US tour to kick off in September with the classic line-up, including Christine McVie. It looks like they're ready to hit the road again, and Glasto has that 'classic rock' slot to fill...
Aerosmith: There's also a theory that Aerosmith, who are in the UK that weekend to play the Calling Festival in Clapham, could also take to the Pyramid Stage. That would explain Eavis' 'contract' statement, and they certainly have enough anthems to pull it off.
Foo Fighters: Their only confirmed remaining date for 2014 is at Firefly Music Festival in the US the week before Glasto. They were an early rumour, and have enough hits and casual fans to dominate the Pyramid Stage. Could they have a signed a deal to wait until they reveal their new album or tour until they reveal their headline status?
Kate Bush: Bookies are already taking bets on her headlining in 2015, with some (optimistically) tipping her to play this year. We can't see it. We love her, but to go from not touring since 1979 to headlining Glasto is too huge a leap.
