The old guard, who still sound amazing

There are plenty veterans of rock hanging around - topping festivals and selling out stadiums. However, it takes a special type of artist to still sound amazing and relevant. These aren't the dinosaurs who soil their legacy, release any old bilge or just tour the hits - these are the icons who earn their legendary status by staying on top of their game.
This week, when Manic Street Preachers announced their twelfth album Futurology, we were struck by how vital they still sound after all these years. Without ever disappearing, reforming or imploding, they've remained at the forefront of music for years.
