The announcement of the Reading and Leeds line ups every year tends to be a bit of a nail biting experience. Playing to an extremely broad range of audiences it has been home to some of the most innovative bookings in festival history.
As a result it's always fun to look back at the faded Reading posters of old with their now ancient line ups. Some are positively mouth watering, featuring Nirvana, Oasis, Blur and more in their golden years. Others hilariously reflect the trends of the era, including a rather prolonged era of nu-metal heavy bookings.
