The DJs and beautiful people of the dance festival
24-25 May, 2014: Slap bang in the center of Bristol, Castle Park is the perfect venue for a glittery gathering of the UK’s biggest dance and electronic artists. This years Love Saves the Day line up saw the likes of Mike Skinner (Pictured), Ms. Dynamite, Shy FX, Cyril Hahn (Pictured) & Clean Bandit.
Selling out months in advance, Saturday burst into life, despite the rain, and festivalgoers were glammed up to the eyeballs with glitter and glow bands, ready to get down.
A headline slot from Annie Mac (Pictured) & Eats Everything was the perfect way to close Saturday evening. The punters then moved on from the green grass of Castle Park to Love Saves The Night – an assortment of after parties in many of Bristol’s best nightclubs.
Sunday was a much calmer affair. The sunshine, accompanied by countless beats and thumping baselines washed over the crowds, creating an atmosphere nothing short of euphoric.
With Jamie XX (Pictured) taking to the late afternoon stage, he could do no wrong in the early summer sun. His set was enjoyed by thousands who were making the most of the bank holiday weekend. Headline act SBTRKT had the responsibility of ending the festival in style. He did this with the help of Sampha (a BBC Introducing favorite), which really did cap off an unforgettable weekend.
Love Saves The Day was like no other festival I’d been to before. A stellar line up to match the very best the UK & Europe has to offer; all held seconds from the center of one of the UK’s most exciting cities.
If bass, beats, glitter and love are your type of thing. LSTD is without a doubt the festival for you.
