They say don't judge a vinyl by its cover... but sometimes, when the cover is as beautiful as these, it's hard not to.
The nominees for Best Art Vinyl 2014 have been announced, and the 50 albums included are veritable works of art. From the clean-cut science-fiction tinged modernism of FKA Twigs and SBTRKT to the abstract oil painting of White Fence, to a massive close-up of Ryan Adams' face, it's been an eye-catching year for music.
Our personal favourites? Kate Tempest's Circles and Hudson Mohawke's Chimes.
