Sondre Lerche is a man who has almost everything – cutesy good looks, three studio albums by the age of 24, a record deal – and after this single he should have a hit to add to that list.  ‘The Tape’ is ridiculously short, weighing in just over 2 and a half minutes, but it is also ridiculously sweet.  Summery, syncopated guitars fool around over a punchy, off-beat drum rhythm whilst Lerche’s vocals punctuate the air with carefully crafted lyrics that beg to be sung along to.  Catchy as hell, Sondre Lerche sounds like a less drug-addled and more easily comprehended The View, but better!  ‘Face The Blood’ is even shorter, but packs more of a punch with a livelier musical accompaniment to the Norwegian’s vocals.  Endlessly energetic but so short it won’t tire you out – it’s like indie pop for the lazy – and it is brilliant.
