More Film School

Kicking things off in a Dandy Warhols meets Pink Floyd in a blender style Film School use ‘Dear Me’ to grab you from the word go with layer on layer of sound and harsh guitars that wrap themselves around your ears like an aural python before dragging you further down the mind fuck path with ‘Lectric’ and slamming ‘Meanmedian Mode’ which is barely more than a few seconds long right up into your face. The thing is though you won’t be complaining because it sounds so good.
Film School then bring ‘Hideout’ back down to Earth with the rich melodic ‘Sick Hipster Nursed By Suicide Girl’- a tune underpinned by a strong pulsating beat much like the cool ‘Capitalized I’. But out of all the songs featured on the album, the real stand out tracks are ‘Go Down Together’ which just oozes laid back sexuality, and ‘What I Meant To Say’- a terrifying tri[p out of sounds that will do far more damage to your head that a mental tsunami!
Film School have produced an album that shows just what you can do with 60’s psychedelic in today's music scene, although the only real criticism is that some songs are just a bit too long this can be over looked because the album as whole is good enough for you let it slide and just enjoy the listen.
