Flying Pickets singer Brian Hibbard has passed away today aged 65, his publicist has confirmed. (June 18)

Hibbard is best known as the founder and frontman of The Flying Pickets, starting the band in 1982 before leaving in 1986. Fans will remember the band from hits such as 'Only You' and 'When You're Young'.

Also a keen actor, Hibbard went on to appear in numerous TV shows including Eastenders, Coronation Street, Doctor Who and The Armando Iannucci shows.

Talent agency Emptage Hallett confirmed Hibbard's death to Wales Online earlier today.
