More Damn Arms

Australian quartet Damn Arms took their name from a Futurama quote and like an alien mutant hybrid from the planet Zyborg 1 they’ve genetically modified the angular post-hardcore of iForward Russia!, the thunderous riffs of DFA 1979 and the yelping screamo vocals of Test Icicles into one gene sequence. ‘Please Pass Me The Anti-Robotics’ courses with incessant energy and hot wired electro wails, pulling out more spazmo postures than Dev Icicle can in a whole set and doesn’t let up for its whole 125 second existence. Bolt on to that B-side ‘I Sink, Therefore I Swam’ with it’s agit-punk hooks and driving drums, and its fair to say that this is a massively impressive debut single. Like Fry its simple but god damn fun!
