Rammstein - 'Mann Gegen Mann' (Universal) Released 13/03/06

Blasted out in their trademark guttural German and armed with immense, chugging riffage and pounding beats, it’s all very much business as usual for Rammstein on ‘Mann Gegen Mann.’ Starting off with a menacing bass line and whispering intonations, soon the power chords kick in and all hell breaks loose. It’s hard to know what to make of Rammstein though, whether they’re all doing it with their tongue in their cheek or they’re really trying to put the shitters up us – ultimately the end result is a bit comical and nothing more than a pantomime. Still nice Alec Empire mix on the flip side.
