Every Move A Picture – ‘Signs Of Life’ (V2) Released 22/05/06

starstarno starno starno star
The best thing about the 80’s was that they went away. Hopefully Every Move A Picture will too. These electro pop and bravery-esque rip off merchants have gone and made themselves a cash cow for the Hard Fi generation to jump on, and have tricked themselves into thinking that making an outdated musical statement is going to get them some notoriety. The uninspiring vocals drag and the programming in the background annoys the fuck out of the listener as it sounds like an alarm clock that someone has forgot to turn off. Sure there are some fine moments in the form of guitar riffs and bass licks here and there but there is nothing here that you can’t already find on a ‘Sounds’ or ‘Bravery’ album. A boring track that has missed the boat.

  • i think this band and this song are infact excellent. funnily enough it was gigwise who turned my intentions to them some months ago after naming them single of the week.

  • talk about a short memory... Gigwise A-List 27/05/05 Every Move A Picture ’Signs of Life/Chemical Burns’ ”Relatively unknown when they landed in the Gigwise office, but immediately the angular riffs, colourful vocals and nonchalant swagger got us hooked. Sexy-as-fuck guitar pop with a backbone” Lee Glynn must be new.
