More Damn Arms

The blurb for this single simply reads: “This is a great fucking single.” Well you can’t fault the Aussie four-piece on their confidence levels, but are they right? Judging by their recent tours with Klaxons, Blood Arm and Ratt:Att:Agg, they move in the right circles and their music justifies it. Sounding a bit like a damn ragged version of New Order, Damn Arms draw more on the influence of 80s New Wave than their contemporaries. This more distinctive sound can only work in their favour; synths, guitars, drums, they’re all there and they’re all beautifully put together. And even though they’ve only been a unit for 18 months, they have the authority of a much more experienced band. Now you can see why they’re so damn confident: they have good reason to be.
