Charlie Simpson's latest music persona is arguably his strongest. From his Busted pop days, to years spent with rockers Fightstar, the frontman has mellowed, slightly, with age and released his solo, indie-folk album 'Young Pilgrim' in 2011.

Fresh from making his SXSW debut, we caught up with Charlie in his rehearsal studio and he performed a stunning acoustic version of the lead track from his new EP, 'Farmer & His Gun' exclusively for Gigwise.
