Lower Than Atlantis are a four-piece rock band from Hertfordshire that have been one of the few rock acts brave enough to release a new Christmas single this year.

Not many groups go anywhere near anything remotely festive, which is something that should be admired.  'Merry Christmas (Wherever You Are)' has already received recognition from the likes of Radio 1's Zane Lowe and Edith Bowman as one of the best alternative Christmas tracks around this year.

The single manages to be tongue-in-cheek, without being too silly and is rocky enough to listen to all year round. Put simply, these lads just wanted to make a crimbo track because they love this time of year and it shows.

The song goes from the meaningful, 'I'm wishing you the merriest Christmas,' to the jovial 'We're making snowballs with snow from roofs of cars and throwing them at people leaving bars.' This track encompasses everything good about the festive period.

The band will embark on their biggest UK headline tour in April 2013 which finishes at the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire, London.
