The mysterious MS MR seemingly came from nowhere, blowing up through their Tumblr account by posting their music and reblogging quirky and dark photos.
Despite being anonymous at first, they soon made a name for themselves with their identities revealed. With songs that are soaked in pop culture and have the requisite touch of darkness, MS MR have quickly shown themselves to be more than just another internet buzz band.
We caught up with the duo in London for an exclusive performance of their track 'Hurricane', as well as a bit of a chat about how real-life meteorological events inspired the song and whether personalities can sometimes overshadow the music.
"As a musician in 2013, you need to have more of a comprehensive vision of your image to really sort of stand the part," MS MR pointed out.
