Editors were at the forefront of the indie-rock scene when it exploded in 2005 and have been in our hearts and iPods ever since. The band are back with their fourth album, The Weight Of Your Love, and though they may be maturer and wiser than before, their sound is still as epic and excellent as it has always been.
Though Editors themselves have changed since their inception with bassist Chris Urbanowicz leaving the band last year, the new album still delivers the same great indie rock that they are known for - but it hasn't been an easy process getting to this point and getting the album on the shelves.
We caught up with the band ahead of their extensive festival tour this summer, and they dismissed suggestions that dark, gloomy songs come from dark gloomy people, explained why they scrapped so much of their work for the new album and how it all came together when they found their perfect new line-up.
