"They want us to play for an hour - I don't know if we've got that much stuff," laughs Theme Park frontman Miles Haughton when we catch up with him at Kendal Calling."I'll just have to drink a little bit more wine."
Theme Park released their self-titled debut album this year, and are one of the busiest bands on the 2013 festival circuit, their breezy guitar pop making perfect listening under the summer sun. On Friday night, they headlined the Gigwise stage at this year's Kendal Calling
However, despite having only recently released their first album, he reveals that discussions are already underway for a follow-up - although fans shouldn't expect a radical change from the Theme Park sound they've come to love.
"The natural instinct is to do something quite different, surprise people and take things in a different direction, and certainly that was what I wanted to do," says Miles. "Hugh said, 'the main thing is not to forget what you do and what you enjoy doing.' That was a good conversation.
"That's when I loosened up and realised I didn't have to surprise people, it's more a case of remembering what Theme Park was about in the first place."
Theme Park are on the festival circuit until October (ouch), but have plans to release a brand new single at the end of the summer.
