After a wait of what feels like forever, Chvrches release their debut album, The Bones Of What We Believe, on 23 September 2013 - but not before they wrap up their summer festival commitments first. The band have gone from online unknowns to one of the most exciting new British bands in little over a year and have dazzled audiences with their festival performances all summer.
We caught up with Lauren Mayberry, Iain Cook, and Martin Doherty backstage at Reading Festival to discuss Lauren's Twitter stalking, all that's great about Scottish music and why they owe everything to the world wide web...
"We are painfully aware that this band is where it is because of the internet," says singer Lauren. "If it wasn't for people finding our band on blogs and passing it to other people, we wouldn't be where we are now. Something like that is a very time and place thing and you can't get a fancy marketing team to make that happen for you. People have to find something in your songs. We didn't predict it."
Speaking of their future, Iain Cook added: "We'll keep doing this as long as it is fun and people are interested."
