Drum and bass producer Wilkinson has seemingly come out of nowhere with new single 'Afterglow' which has propelled the genre back onto the Radio 1 playlist - and into the UK Top Ten. Akin to the likes of Sub Focus and Chase and Status, Wilkinson is a figure challenging the mainstream by bringing underground genres to the forefront.
We headed down to his studio in Twickenham in order to challenge him to a one hour production challenge to make us a track within the timeframe, while discussing the rise of drum and bass and his newfound success.
