San Cisco's self titled debut album was one of our favourite albums released last year in the UK, mixing dark and light in their lyrics and melodies. Single 'Beach' was a highlight of their debut, and told a tale of a relationship - with a bleak sting in the tail.
Performing at the Social in central London during a UK visit in late 2013, the band performed a particularly heartfelt rendition of the track with frontman Jordi explaining the story behind the lyrics. He says that he wants listeners to be able to read multiple scenarios into San Cisco tracks; whether they be happy or said he wants everyone to find their own story.
