The day after the BRIT awards is like a collective hangover for the music industry as the pieces of what happened last night are pieced together. Did James Corden really interrupt Prince to take a selfie? Did he allude to Justin Bieber prison rape with One Direction? Did Disclosure really perform with Lorde? Yes, it's true, it all really happened.

These are the highlights from the ceremony which despite the usual awkward moments managed to pull itself out of the Mumford-dominated doldrums of 2013. We had some great performances this time around from Arctic Monkeys, Beyonce, Pharrell, Disclosure, Lorde, Katy Perry and Ellie Goulding along with the usual ups and downs.
