Dum Dum Girls were joined on stage by Blondie's Debbie Harry for a surprise performance at South by Southwest festival yesterday (14 March). Watch the performance below.

The singer joined the band on stage part way through their set to perform a version of Blondie's 1979 song 'Dreaming'. The collaboration was met with hearty approval from the fairly modest crowd, though it did sound a tiny bit under-rehearsed.

Dum Dum Girls are an American rock band who formed in 2008. Their third album, Too True, was released at the beginning of this year to critical success.

Elsewhere at SXSW, which is a set of film, interactive, and music performances that take place in Texas throughout March, Lady Gaga has courted controversy over a performance that involved a performance artist vomitting on her, Jarvis Cocker unveiled the new Pulp documentary, and Jay Z and Kanye West performed together for a joint show.

Meanwhile, Blondie have confirmed that they'll be playing Glastonbury in June, joining the likes of Arcade Fire, Lily Allen and Warpaint. For more information, visit Gigwise Gig Tickets.
