If it wasn't already common knowledge - rock and roll is cool and will get you laid. If you need proof of the effect it can have on the opposite sex, just check out the video for 'Shoe Prints In The Dust', the new single from rock duo God Damn, below.

The duo are among a number of new rock/metal bands emerging in 2014, proving that heavy can indeed still be mainstream, and like the hotly-tipped Royal Blood, blend some seriously noisy riffs with a strong sense of melody in their music. 'Shoe Prints In The Dust' is the perfect example of that mix.

The video, set on a seemingly normal council estate in the UK, shows the effect rock music has on nearby females - with one unable to control herself after hearing the band perform - before all sorts of weirdness breaks loose. It's understandable, as the track is pretty damn great. Check out the video below.

God Damn are Thom Edwards and Ash Weaver. Inspired by classic rock bands such as Nirvana, Jesus Lizard, At The Drive In and more, the band will perform at Camden Rocks in May 2014 before hitting 2000 Trees Festival in Cheltenham in July. Be warned - those shows promise to get seriously heavy...
