New Order have debuted their first new material in nine years. Watch them performing 'Drop The Guitar' below.

The post-punk turned dance-rock legends have not written or released anything since 2005's Waiting For The Sirens Call - largely due to the subsequent departure of iconic bassist, Peter Hook.

Despite the absence of Hooky, new track 'Drop The Guitar' features that trademark brooding and meandering bass sound that he made so famous. The rest of the track is packed with the razor sharp guitars, crystal clarity and infectious darkness that only New Order can pull off. It sounds very promising indeed. The track received its premiere at Lollapalooza festival in Chile last night (Sunday 30 March, 2014).

New Order's current tour continues through South America before reaching America and Canada later in the year.
