Jamie XX has revealed his new track 'Girl', which premiered during James Blake's monthly takeover of BBC Radio 1. Listen to it below.

Blake originally played the song during his March residency, but said that it was called 'Bloke' by Simon Tallywhacker, before revealing last night (18 April) that it was by Jamie xx.

'Girl' is the B-side to Jamie xx's recently announced single 'Sleep Sound', which is due for release on 5 May via Young Turks, and will be the producer's first solo single since 2011. Please try not to get too overwhelmed by the intricacy of the artwork.

Jamie xx is probably best known as a member of the London-based band The xx, whose self-titled debut album was awarded the Mercury Music Prize in 2010.

The producer will be playing this year's Field Day festival in London on Saturday 7 June, alongside headliners Metronomy, and acts such as Drenge, Arthur Beatrice, Only Real and Tourist.
