Since it was released last year, Pharrell Williams' 'Happy' has achieved huge success, with the official music video gaining 192 million views. A version that's appeared online though, which reimagines the video without any music, is less uplifting, more unnerving. Watch it below.
The video shows Pharrell and various members of the public dancing around to nothing but the sound of footsteps, traffic and their own singing, with one woman even screeching the words to Sinead O'Connor's 'Nothing Compares 2 U'.
Though it seems it's not the real raw footage, but a cleverly edited re-dub, it still makes for an eery, compelling watch.

Gawker's Jay Hathaway commented, "The year's happiest song has been reduced to a lonely nightmare."
'Happy', which was written as part of the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack, served as the lead single for Williams' second studio album G I R L. The song went to No.1 across the world, and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song.
