The return of indie stars Embrace has been one of the most unexpected moments of 2014 so far. Perhaps more unexpected still - they are sounding better than ever.
The eight years between albums has clearly done the band the world of good, and while many bands from the late 90s are no longer with us or a mere shadow of their former selves, Embrace's return to the mainstream succeeds for one simple reason: their new songs are really good.
The band's new, self titled album is out now and is expected to score the boys a big hit in this week's album chart, having hit the iTunes Top Ten after only a day on release. Latest single 'Follow You Home' is one of the standouts on the record, and Embrace have today premiered a stunning acoustic version of the track on Gigwise. The video shows the band performing in their studio, showcasing frontman Danny McNamara's powerful voice and some stunning harmonies from bandmate and brother, Richard McNamara.
