Roisin Murphy has proved herself effortlessly cool throughout her career, whether it's filling clubs with Moloko or pushing boundaries of electro-pop with her criminally underperforming Overpowered album. Her new project, a collection of Italian disco tracks is no less spectacular, and she has today premiered a brand new track, 'In Sintesi'. Listen below.
Like previously revealed track 'Ancora Tu', 'In Sintesi' is a melancholy, downbeat slice of club brilliance and one suited for only the most discerning nightspots. Wetherspoons, it ain't. Listen to 'Mi Senti' below.
Speaking of her new EP, Mi Senti, which is released 28 May 2014. Murphy says the project pushed her as an artist and vocalist. “Quite apart from the language, in some of the songs I was on the edge of what my voice can do," she says. "For the Mina ones in particular [‘Ancora Ancora Ancora’ and ‘Non Credere’] there were tears and I almost walked away and gave up."
