A stunning blend stirring strings and messy feedback, new duo Douga have today premiered their brand new single 'Blue Is Nothing' on Gigwise, and it is a truly brilliant track. Listen below.
Having previously picked up critical acclaim from 6 Music tastemakers including Tom Ravenscroft and Gideon Coe, indie two-piece Johnny Winbolt-Lewis and John Waddington are causing something of a stir with their distinct and unique alternative sounds.
Their latest track 'Blue Is Nothing' is a subtle, melancholic and hugely promising new track from the pair, who cite Broadcast, Yo La Tengo and Grizzly Bear as their influences. There are also Britpop influences in Winbolt-Lewis's vocals, as his drawl could have come straight out of the nineties indie heyday.
