Eminem has unveiled the new music video for 'Headlights', which was directed by Spike Lee. Watch it below.
The video, which was uploaded today (11 May) to coincide with US Mother's Day and features vocals from Fun's Nate Ruess, is an apology to the rapper's mother, Debbie Mathers.
Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers III, specifically apologises for 'Cleanin' Out My Closet', the 2002 song in which he raps: "How dare you try to take what you didn't help me to get, you selfish bitch; I hope you fucking burn in hell for this shit."
'Headlights', the video for which comprises a point of view shot of the rapper's mother, as well as childhood pictures, contains the lyrics: "I went in headfirst, never thinking about who what I said hurt, in what verse. My Mom probably got it the worst, the brunt of it, but as stubborn as we are, did I take it too far? 'Cleaning Out My Closet' and all them other songs. But regardless I don't hate you 'cause, Ma, you're still beautiful to me."

Speaking of the song in an interview with BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe, Eminem said: "It was one of those things that’s bothered me for a little bit. It was one of those things that I needed to get off my chest. So I don’t really have anything to elaborate or expand on that record other than everything that I needed to say, I put on that record."
