The Black Keys have attracted criticism for their performance on this weekend's episode of Saturday Night Live. Check it out below.
The blues rock duo impressed viewers by taking part in comedy skits on the iconic shows, but many were left feeling a little flat by their performances of 'Fever' and 'Bullet In The Brain' from upcoming new album, Turn Blue.
Website Consequence Of Sound slammed their performance as 'uninspiring' and 'too clean', with many fans taking online to agree - seemingly due to the studio's acoustics and to the usually high-energy frontman Dan Auerbach seeming a little lacklustre.
Youtube user Paul Wainman wrote "Has Auerbach had any sleep this year ? Looks shattered" while Gabriel Friedman agreed, "Auerbach looks like he hasn't slept in weeks".
TheBrokenStairs added "Starting to have a feeling Turn Blue is going to be a dud", while 27shocking commented "Worst performance ive seen from the black keys, what is that noise coming from the bass players mouth? Sounds like a chipmonk stoned."
However, both videos on Youtube have pretty high ratings, and many fans seem more than satisfied with the performances. Vincent Lema disagreed with critics, writing "I don't think this is bad at all! Especially when it gets to the breakdown at the end. I like the backing vocals" while Adam Johnson simply added "awesome".
