All too often, bands labelled 'folk-rock' err a little too much on the folk side of things, but not so Sean Grant, who's no-nonsense lyrics and attitude-packed tracks have established the Northampton star as something truly special on the UK music scene. Today, Grant has premiered the video for new track 'Hoist The Sails' exclusively on Gigwise. Watch it below.
Grant's rough, no-nonsense take on folk rock is evident in the 'Hoist The Sails' video, playing a booze-soaked and deeply troubled character in the narrative-led clip. The track is similarly dark, packed full of regret - and even boasts a bit of a pirate theme in its 'yo-ho' crescendo.
