La Roux has revealed her new single, 'Uptight Downtown', taken from her forthcoming second album Trouble In Paradise. Listen to it below.
The first track to be previewed from the new album was 'Let Me Down Gently', but 'Uptight Downtown' will serve as the album's first official single.
It's a more upbeat affair than 'Let Me Down Gently', and continues the promising trend of a more updated sound compared to earlier work, whilst also introducing something of a retro edge.

La Roux was originally made up of singer Elly Jackson and producer Ben Langmaid, but Jackson recently revealed that Langmaid had left the group during the recording of Trouble In Paradise.
The singer first rose to prominence back in 2009 with the success of 'In For The Kill' and 'Bulltproof', which preceded a UK No.2 debut album.
La Roux is set to tour the UK in November, and will also perform a one-off date in London in July. For more information, visit Gigwise Tickets.
Trouble In Paradise is due for release on 7 July.
