British breakout success of the year Sam Smith has performed 'Stay With Me' on David Letterman's Late Show.
The performance was one of the first in a long time to leave the chatty host struggling to find words. After the performance he said only: "wow beautiful" before composing himself enough to get back to taking the piss, asking if it was his "first time singing" and saying that he should "keep at it".

Sam Smith's debut album was released in the UK in May and went straight to number one, becoming the fastest selling album of 2014. It has now hit shelves in the states by Capitol Records, and seems to be taking the country by storm, emulating the success it has seen over the pond.
