What has Lunice got to do with Lexus? Quite a bit, it seems. The underground electronic artist and his creative collective LuckyMe have embarked on a new project, NX-Illuminated, to produce a video for his latest track 'Can't Wait To', inspired by the new Lexus NX. Check it out below.

Cars in a video - nothing new, right? Wrong. Lunice isn't rolling around in some bikini - he's taken the sharp and distinctive features of the new NX to create a powerful piece of performance art. Other participants include Hellicar & Lewis, and Studio XO.

Watch the clip below:

The NX itself doesn't even feature in the video, but its edgy and boundary-breaking design embodies the feel of the whole thing. Lunice performs in the surreal and illuminated universe, where futuristic op-art and moire inspired patterns are shot against billowing dark fabric. The projection mapping technique takes its cues from the sharp and distinct lighting of the NX, producing a striking setting for the DJ's movements.

In short it's sleek, sexy and bold: the kind of performance you'd expect from the boundary pushing artist.

The project forms part of NX-Perspectives; a digital art exhibition enlisting some of the world's most exciting creatives to produce performance art inspired by the car. Lunice’s video in particular – billed as “a collision of light and sound” - is inspired by the fact that the vehicle’s lights are all LED.

The Canadian musician, who has provided remixes for the likes of Foster The People and Deerhunter, signed to LuckyMe ahead of the release of his 2010 EP Stacker Upper. He also notably featured in the music video to Azealia Banks' breakout hit '212'.
