About
Redeye, are that rare thing, a real local rock band made up of ordinary blokes who grew up & learned to play their instruments together. The boys have played & gigged around East London & Essex (where, in latter years, they've been billed as 'Local Legends') for 18 years with sporadic forays into Central London. Though individual members sometimes worked with other bands (Revolver, Physical Wreck, Fortunes Lost & others) enjoying a modicum of success, the boys always came back to Redeye as if it was home. As Dave (vocals) has said, “we seem to 'work' together creatively”...........

In 2009 Neil Webb (guitar) 'met a man in a pub' who was to contact him again a year later & become their very enthusiastic manager, Don. Don loved the band's material & used his business experience to make arrangements enabling the band to record a high quality, 14 track, Debut Album, self-titled 'Redeye'. Material was drawn from 18 years of the band jamming, writing & honing their music. It was engineered/mixed by Jez Larder (David Bowie, One Eskimo, Katie Melhua, Hazel O'Connor, Amy MacDonald) & critically mastered by Frank Arkwright (U2 [Joshua Tree], Joy Division, New Order, ABBA [Gold], Arctic Fire, Coldplay), both of whom loved the material & were excited by the project. Every track is of a very high standard indeed both in terms of the material & the quality of recording...........

Redeye's long awaited 'Big Break' looks finally to be in sight & they are showcasing the album at many gigs both in Central London & all over the UK. The band are on good form & always get a great live reception. You won't be disappointed if you go to see them...........
