    This week's must-listen tracks

Let's not lie, this week has been pretty rubbish with most people in Britian battling about as much rain and thunder as George Clooney and co. faced in The Perfect Storm. However, it's been a great week for new music with big returns from Hot Chip and Cheryl Cole (sorry, 'Cheryl')  as well as new tracks from some of our favourite emerging artists. Check out the week's biggest tracks below, now.

    Arctic Monkeys - Electricity

The B-Side to Record Store Day exclusive single 'R U Mine?', 'Electricity' shows Alex Turner and co's interest in heavier territory is more than just flirting. Packed tight with riffs, energy and muscle 'Electricity' is a timely reminder that Arctic Monkeys can still sound young and exciting.

    Major Lazer - Get Free

Diplo and Switch were in the UK this week, trying to convince a rain sodden nation to get into the carnival spirit. If our wringing wet hoods were a dampner then this fresh new single from Major Lazer was more than enough to convince us that Summer is just around the corner, right?

Hot Chip - Night & Day

Hot Chip are back and sounding like... Scissor Sisters? There is certainly a camp angle to this first single from the geeky Prince obsessives but that's no bad thing. Roll on album number five.

    Cheryl - Call My Name

When Rihanna called Calvin Harris it was because she wanted something fresh and new and what she got was 'We Found Love. When Cheryl Cole called Calvin Harris, you have to assume all she wanted was another 'We Found Love' and therin lies the problem with this first track from Cheryl's third solo album. Will it be a huge hit? Of course. Will we remember it in a year's time? Probably not.

    A$AP Rocky - Goldie

A$AP Rocky has yet to put a foot wrong since his emergence in 2011 and 'Goldie' is his first official single release. Produced by 'N*ggas In Paris' man Hit-Boy, the song bears all the hallmarks that have seen Rocky become one of the hottest tipped MCs in the game and promises something great for his forthcoming 'LongLiveA$AP' album.

    Jessie Ware - 110%

We featured Jessie in our In Demand section earlier this week after being blown away by the ice-cool sound of 110%. You need this single in your life.

Baio (feat Matias Aguayo) - Tanto

Vampire Weekend's third album shows no sign of arriving any time soon but the blow is softened when their members keep producing such interesting solo material. Following guitarist Rostam down the lone route is bass player Baio, who will release an EP through Greco-Roman later in the year. This first taste of the rich, deep sounds he is mining is very promising indeed.

Aiden Grimshaw - Is This Love

Who knew he had it in him? Yes, Aiden Grimshaw, last seen staring murderously through the 2010 series of The X Factor looks like he might be about to follow his fellow almuni One Direction, Cher Lloyd and er, Matt Cardle into the charts with this dark slice of rave-pop.

    Oberhofer - Away Frm U

Oberhofer released their brilliant debut 'Time Capsules II' this week and 'Away From U' is the best of an already brilliant collection of songs. Check out their In Demand feature here.

St. Lucia - We Got It Wrong

Already compared to The Temper Trap and Empire of The Sun by err, us, St.Lucia shows the same wistful sensibilities as these bands on lead single 'We Got It Wrong', displaying a similar blend of masculine, sun-drenched pop.

    Usher - Climax (XXYYXX remix)

Switching up the high drama vocals on Usher for a more late night and low key kind of emotion, XXYYXX flips 'Climax' on its head and shows another side to what is shaping up to be one of the singles of the year.
