Jennifer Coolidge: New Orleans Home

While a lot of people might think that Jennifer Coolidge would live in a cute yellow home, given how fun she looks, the truth is opposite to it. Jennifer Coolidge lives in an expansive heritage home that spans an area of about 7000 square feet. This house was first constructed in 1867, but she only bought it in 2005.

This Greek-style home has five full bathrooms and two half bathrooms, along with seven bedrooms. With three floors that are connected by a mahogany spiral staircase, this house has beautiful architecture.

While Jennifer Coolidge has never invited cameras to her home, on one occasion, when she sat down with Watch What Happens, she gave everyone a little sneak peek into her kitchen.

Vaulted with wood finishes and an overhead fan, the kitchen is a cozy place to cook and enjoy a meal. She has sturdy stools situated right where her kitchen island is, which gives it its cozy feel. This is the kind of kitchen that gives a known but unique feel.

Moreover, Jennifer Coolidge’s New Orleans Home also has a music room, a parlor, and, as shown in the film Beguiled, which was filmed in the home in 2017, a beautiful bedroom that is laden with silk drapes and beautiful rugs.

While the film does not have the exact representation of Jennifer Coolidge’s home decor, it gives a small look into the high ceilings and one of the quiet antiques that Jennifer Coolidge has in her home. It is a little feel of how Jennifer Coolidge spends her days and nights in her New Orleans home.

Beautiful Interiors and Exteriors Jennifer Coolidge: New Orleans

The house is almost a heritage piece that was built many years ago. Situated in the heart of New Orleans, this incredible home has an exterior to die for.

However, it does not come without safety because it is all placed behind a cast iron gate that has fluted ionic columns that strategically go around, making the house something everyone gets curious about.

Ever since Jennifer bought this home, she has spent a lot of time restoring it to its full Italian charm. Over the years, she has replaced the wiring for the whole place, rebuilt the foundation, repaired the roof patching with plaster, and redecorated a lot.

Now, speaking of the interiors, this house is just so more beautiful than the exterior. Jennifer Coolidge brings the maximalist charm to her home indoors with statement pieces that catch everyone’s eyes.

With the Persian rush and tasseled Ottomans, the decoration of these places is beautiful. The house has some beautiful carved marble mantels, the floors are made out of wood, and the ceilings are as tall as 16”.

The living room is especially a maximalist space where Jennifer Coolidge has gone all out to make sure the room is full of ornamental pieces.

The house also has an upholstered mini bar and armoires. Oil Portraits cover most walls and bring a very rustic charm to the place. While Jennifer has a number of beautiful pieces, one thing that especially piques everyone’s interest is an antique automaton called Signore Blitz. It is a family heirloom and was a gift to her by her dad.

This antique piece was built in 1850 and has been a part of Jennifer Coolidge’s New Orleans home’s decor. Along with this, Jennifer Coolidge also keeps her other family possessions in a special wooden box in her home, only moving it when she has guests coming in.

Talking about her New Orleans home, Jennifer Coolidge said in an interview that looking at her movies, many people just assume that her house would have pink couches and fluffy rugs, but the reality of her house could not be more different. She describes her house as a very old, dark house that has a number of creepy oil paintings.

The house is a little gloomy and cavernous. Along with that, she mentions that anyone who comes to her place for the first time feels like they are on a haunted house tour or maybe a fairground ride.
