Noel Gallagher ripped into a unsigned band who managed to give him a CD demo at a gig, and stopped to rant about it.
The High Flying Birds gig was interrupted at his Boston Opera House gig last week when, in a pretty daring move, the fledgling band caught Gallagher's attention with a demo of their music. Gallagher himself found the whole thing to be highly amusing and launched into a rant about how the band should be properly promoting themselves.
"When you’re giving away CDs of your shit," he can be heard saying, "there’s not even a fucking name of who it is, or what it’s called, or a phone number, or nothing. No song titles, no name, no nothing. Now unless this is some psychedelic f*cking album project, I’m saying, this c*nt’s going nowhere."
But it didn't stop there. When asked their name the band replied 'The Memo', which Gallagher further joked about."The invisible man? No… the Memo? Do you f*cking get the irony of that? A CD with nothing written on it by somebody called the Memo. F*cking hell, don’t make me say it."

Gallagher would also probably like it if everyone stopped talking about that Oasis reunion. Paul McCartney has spoken out saying he'd like to see it happen, but Gallagher had some more biting comments about that, too. "Tell [McCartney] if he writes our comeback single, it's on. Tell him to write an Oasis track and then we'll talk."
Rumours continue to circle, however, with the latest implying that the reunion will happen without Noel Gallagher. We'll have to wait and see if anything comes of it.
