The home of Kiss frontman Gene Simmons has been searched by police conducting an investigation into allegations of child pornography.
CNN reports that Los Angeles Police entered the rockers' home with a warrant to investigate allegations of child sex offences. However, the LAPD's Lt. John Jenal has stated that "no members of the Simmons family are suspects in the case" and that the family are being "extremely cooperative".
A spokesman for Simmons said that "a crime that may have occurred on the property last year while Simmons was away touring with his band".
The 65-year-old's wife Shannon Tweed Simmons wrote on Twitter: "Thanks for your support. We couldn't be more horrified that someone used our residence for such heinous crimes. Law enforcement is on it."
Daughter Sophie Tweed Simmons later added: "Thanks for your support. We are horrified that someone used our parents residence for such heinous crimes. Law enforcement is on the case."
Simmons has been teasing fans, saying that he hopes Kiss can release their 21st album next year. This comes after they closed Download Festival with an epic headline set back in June.
